We also drew a very nice diagram of Descartes journey into doubt. When we got to the bottom of the ‘U’ we found certainty in being a ‘thinking thing’. We haven’t described the journey back up the other side, although the wax thing begins this. If we have time, or possibly with Mrs Harris you will discover how Descartes ideas about God help him back up to trusting the the way he perceives the world. Oh, and he proves the existence of God. Well, he thought he did.
